Do you like stories? I love stories. I like to read stories, I like to listen to stories, I like songs that tell a story. When I was little and couldn’t fall asleep, I’d ask my mom to tell me a story. In Sunday school Read more »

Time is a funny thing. Have you ever been waiting for something, and time seems to drag. Yet at other times, you look back on an event or period of your life, and it seems as though the days just flew by. Deputation was like that for me. When we started deputation and at times during deputation, Read more »

After 2 ½ years of traveling on deputation to raise our support to go to Togo, we have been in almost 80 churches. In those churches, we usually set up a display table and/or have a time for Q & A’s. Most questions are normal or routine. Often we have been touched by how many people are interested in Togo and the ministry God has for us there. But sometimes . . . Read more »

The past two weeks I attended a two week course for those interested in Medical Missions. It’s basically a crash course in medicine/emergency care when the only option may be YOU! They provide you with a lot of resources, protocols, and materials that you can take with you and use overseas. As mentioned in my last post, I am currently in a New Testament Intro class. One of the requirements is to read through the entire New Testament. As I read through the Gospels, I got more of the “big picture” overview. Often I read a chapter or two at a time, which kind of breaks up the stories. As I read . . . Read more »

Recently, Jeremy and I were at Sam’s Club — one of our favorite places to go by the way, for some reason I just enjoy looking at everything. While we were there picking up a few things, we went by the returned section just to see if there were any deals. Well, there was!! Someone had returned a Keurig coffee machine. It was incredibly marked down and being the coffee nuts that we are, we bought it. Since we were in Ohio at a missions meeting, we ended up . . . Read more »

God’s goodness — what a subject! This has been on my mind for the past few weeks. When I hear people talking about how they never get what they deserve, I think, “Well, praise God! If we all got what we deserved, we’d be eternally separated from God!” Yet, most people aren’t thinking in that direction. God has amazingly bestowed grace and mercy upon me! Some things that blow my mind –By the sacrificial death of His Son, I am allowed to have fellowship with Jesus Christ! I will one day spend eternity with the one who made me and gave Himself for me – no more pain or suffering but an eternity with Jesus. God is allowing me to raise support to go on the mission field — who says… Read more »
